Even if it’s not official, I don’t see any way that don’t get to that point eventually.

Assuming they postpone the first few races, t hey should seriously have an online F1 race season. We’d really see how much they want to take each other out when racing on sims.

I think the organizers from all sides are in dissarr ay because of how fast things are happening. I thought I read something to the effect that if one team is out, the race will be canceled/postponed. It’s kinda surreal that the press conference happened as if everything is normal. Like a few commente rs mentioned on the FP, it’s like the F1, FIA and AustralianGP organizers are at a Mexican standoff.

I’ve been wondering about that for a while now. Big blow to the city, but by then we probably will all have bigger fish to fry.

This weekend’s race in St. Pete, not the 500.

Even if it’s not 100% confirmed I think it was inevitable. I’m surprised they waited so long, but then again I think many, like myself, were optimistic (to a fault) that it couldn’t that much worse.
As a reasonable human being, I get it. As an F1 fan... fuck.
I made a comment before about the Dutch GP being the first one that we’ll run but the way things are going Europe doesn’t seem to be in a good spot, either.
That said, I support other fans’ comments about a F1 eSports season. You’ll more or less have parity with the cars, so it’s about as close as you can get to putting the drivers in spec series cars. The biggest problem is that the F1 games are just not good enough for this kind of thing... I wonder if F1 team sponsors could get on board with something in iRacing. Just give everyone a Lotus 79, a couple of engineers to help with setup, get designers to put on the modern team liveries, and let em loose.
